Computer Operator II
Required Skills: College level coursework within area of responsibility, or equivalent level of skill through on-the-job training, experience and seminars.
- Utilize general PC skills
- Utilize good verbal and written communication skills
- Represent department in division sponsored projects
- Gather and organize data for reporting and documentation of procedures
- Working knowledge with problem management tool
- Research and resolve routine issues within area of responsibility
- Coordinate tasks and activities associated with routine processes
- Minimum 2 years proven computer operations experience.
- Enhanced knowledge of TSO, SYSVIEW, MAINVIEW, CHANGEMAN, ESP
- Proven experience with problem management software. Responsible for opening, updating , and resolving first level support issues relating to the data center
- Demonstrate knowledge of JCL. Responsible for fixing space abends, FTP issues, and research job abends
- Proven knowledge of complex scheduling systems. Ability research scheduling issues and recommend changes to streamline the batch load. Ability to articulate scheduling issues to support department
- Ability to establish and foster business relationships to maintain rapport with business area analyst and programmers.
· Familiar with word processing and spreadsheet applications
· Good interpersonal and customer service skills
· Written communication skills to document or revise procedures
- General department specific knowledge
· Ability to stay on task
- Ability to logically and methodically analyze problems
Contract Length: 3 Months (4:00pm – 12:30am, Tuesday – Saturday)
